Tangier to Marrakech Tour Itinerary

Day 1Tangier- Rif Mountains -Chehchaouen

Our team will meet you at Tangier port or the airport and transfer you to the Medina of the Blue Town Chefchaouen. We could visit Tangier, such as the Medina, Hercules cave, and Cap Sparrow, where the Atlantic and Mediterranean oceans meet, if you arrive early. Then, we drive across the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen. If you arrive late, we could spend the night in Tangier, and on the second day, we start our tour.Accommodation in a Riad/Hotel in the medina. Overnight in a Riad in Chefchaouen with bed and breakfast BB (with breakfast).

Day 2Chefchaouen - Meknes - Volubilis - Fes

Today, we will pick you up from the Riad in Chefchaouen and drive towards Volubilis, crossing Ouazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, you will discover Roman ruins and learn about the archaeological sites of Moroccan history. After visiting the ruins, you will shift to Meknes, the seventeenth-century heritage site, where you will stop for lunch and hang around the medina and Bab el Mansour. Then, we will drive you to Fes, where you will spend the night. Overnight in Medina Fes, including bed and breakfast.

Day 3Fes Guided Tour

After breakfast in the Riad, you will explore old Fes with a licensed guide, the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and little streets. Your visit will begin through the Royal Palace gate and continue with the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, which dates back to the sixteenth century. We will ensure you visit all cultural and historical sites, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and experience a fantastic panoramic view over the Medina of Fes.

Day 5Merzouga desert - Todra gorges - Dades Valley

Today your camel man will make sure to wake you up to watch a beautiful sunrise where you will see the sunshine cover the small golden dunes of Merzouga and the rocky barren Sahara Desert.  After your breakfast at the camp, you will trek back by camel, or if you feel you’ve had enough of riding the camels, you have the option for a 4-wheel drive back from the camp.

You will then head on the road to the Dades Valley for another excellent day. First, you will visit the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco where you might get a chance to hike for an hour in the area. After lunch, the drive continued to the Dades Valley where you will be amazed by the beauty of the town such as the rock formations known as “monkey toes” and the sand castles that cover the area. Overnight accommodation at the hotel with BDB.

Day 4Fes - Atlas mountains - Merzouga Camel trek and night in a Desert Camp.

You will wake up early to see the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes and have breakfast at the camp before making your way back, riding the camel or by car. We will drive through the Saghro Mountains, where you will take a short walk through Todra Gorge, a famous spot for Rock climbers, before arriving at the Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation.

Day 6Dades valley - Skoura oasis - Ait ben Haddou kasbah - high Atlas mountains - Marrakech

After a delicious breakfast in the hotel, we travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route is called “The Thousand Kasbahs,” it provides numerous opportunities to take some of the best photographic shots in the Rose Valley. We continue to the famous Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou, the setting of multiple films. We visit Amrdile, one of the kasbahs that stands out from the rest in the valley of a thousand kasbahs. After that, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, where this tour ends with a drop-off at your accommodation or airport.
