9 Days Morocco Itinerary:

1st DayArrival in Casablanca airport

Pick up at the Casablanca airport and begin driving to the city, passing through sights of the Moroccan countryside. We make a halt to visit Hassan II, Africa’s largest mosque, which is the sole opening for non-Muslims. Then check into your hotel. Stay overnight in a hotel.

2nd DayCasablanca - Rabat – Chefchaoun

Our second day begins with breakfast in the Riad, followed by a trip to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, to explore the stunning Mausoleum of Mohammed V, which features stained glass windows and white marble. We proceed to Hassan Tower, which lies on a height overlooking Wadi Bou Regreg. Visit the Oudaïa Kasbah, erected by Moulay Ismaïl between 1672-1727 to safeguard the city and surrounded by ramparts from the Almohad period. The trip continues to Chefchaouen, which is known for its vibrant blue-rinsed houses and is popular with both visitors and Moroccans, especially during the hot summer months. 3rd DayChefchaouen - Volubilis - Fes

It’s the third day, but the adventure of the Sahara Desert tour has begun! After breakfast, we’ll set off for Erg Chebbi, Merzouga. We’ll enjoy the desert landscapes and pass the gravestones of Taouz. We will then hear the Gnawa music of Khamlia. We will have lunch in a small restaurant owned by a Gnawi person.

Then it is a short drive to a nearby hotel for some refreshments before a camel ride into the desert. All unnecessary luggage will be left in safe rooms at the hotel. The 90-minute camel trek will take us to a Berber camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes, the highest in North Africa. The camp has several comfortable Berber tents. They have mattresses and linen. It also has a restaurant, a kitchen, and a ‘natural’ toilet. The evening will include dinner and then campfire entertainment by Berber drums.

4th Day Fes guided tour

A long drive today. Before sunrise, you will be woken up to climb the dunes for great photo ops. We will then make our way back to the hotel for showers and breakfast before setting off for Fez. We’ll pass through Erfoud, the Ziz Valley, Medilt, and the cedar forests and monkeys of Azrou.

Then, we’ll go to Ifrane before dropping you at your riad/hotel in Fez. The 4 days of the Sahara desert tour from Marrakech to Fes will be coming to an end! We truly hope you enjoyed the trip with our team!

5th DayFes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Atlas mountains - Ziz valley - Merzouga - camel trek and night in the desert

Our guide will pick you up at 8 a.m. from your Riad in Fes. We begin our journey across the Middle Atlas to the Erg Chebbi dunes through Ifrane, Azrou, cedar trees, and the Ziz Valley canyon. It’s an intriguing road with a beautiful terrain that provides excellent photo opportunities; we stop for lunch in Midelt. We proceed to the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you will ride a camel for two hours to see the sun set at 250m. Then we spend the night in a luxurious desert tent, where dinner is freshly made and served beneath the stars. After supper, it’s always pleasant to gather around the fire for some drumming.

6th DayMerzouga desert - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley

f you get up early enough, the Sahara desert delivers a spectacular sunrise in the Eef Chebbi Sabd dunes. After that, you’ll ride the camels back to the dunes, admiring the beautiful Erg Chebbi dunes in the early morning light. We’ll head to Todra Gorges, which are well-known as a popular rock climbing location and Morocco’s tallest and narrowest gorges. We can do some strolling before traveling to Dades Valley for supper and lodging.

7th DayDades Valley - Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - High Atlas mountains - Marrakech

We begin our day by visiting Dades Gorges, which include the many rock formations of the mountains in the Dades valley. We continue our journey to the Valley of the Roses, passing through thousands of Kasbahs. When the roses blossom in April and May, the Valley is breathtaking. We go through Ouarzazate before arriving to Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, the most repaired ksar in the south and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 45-minute walking tour of the Ait Ben Haddou site will be provided. We stop at one of the terraces for lunch.

We continue our journey to Marrakech, passing the High Atlas mountain range via Tizi N Tichka pass at 2260m, with stunning views of little valleys and Berber towns. Arriving in Marrakech late afternoon and night at a Riad.

 

8th DayMarrakech Guided tour

A full-day sightseeing trip of Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most beautiful towns, built by the Almoravid kingdom at the end of the 12th century and known for its rich history and culture. Our tour will take you to the city’s most impressive sights, including the Saadian Tombs, Menara, Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia mosque with its minaret, Bahia Palace, the Souks, and Djemaa El Fnaa Square. Free evening for various events on the plaza. Night at the Riad.

9th DayTransfer to the airport
