Dreaming of exploring Morocco’s wonders in just 10 days? The 10 days Morocco itinerary is perfect for travelers starting in Casablanca. From camel treks across golden dunes to nights in a desert luxury camp, every moment promises adventure. Before ending in Marrakech, you’ll journey through lush valleys, ancient kasbahs, and the iconic Atlas Mountains. Let’s make those travel dreams a reality.
We will start our 10-day tour from Casablanca by picking you up from Mohamed V airport to Rabat. Depending on your arrival time, our driver/tour guide will meet you there and then take you to Casablanca to visit one of Morocco’s most famous and prominent mosques, Hassan II mosque. After that, we will drive to Rabat, where you can stay overnight.
After breakfast, we leave Chefchaouen and drive towards Volubilis, crossing Wazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, you will discover Roman ruins and learn about the archaeological sites of Moroccan history. After visiting the ruins, you will shift to Meknes, the seventeenth-century heritage site, where you will stop for Lunch and hang around the Medina and Bab el Mansour.
Then, we will drive you to Fes, where you will spend the night overnight in Medina, including bed and breakfast.
After breakfast in the Riad, you will start exploring Fes, the oldest city in Morocco, by walking its alleys and little streets. Your visit will begin through the Royal Palace gate and continue with the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah built in Morocco, which dates back to the sixteenth century. We will ensure you visit all cultural and historical sites, including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum.
After Lunch, you will visit the tile cooperative and enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the Medina of Fes.
After breakfast in your Riad/Hotel, you will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in views of the High Atlas plateau. As you approach the city of Errachidia, the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert. Here, you will have Lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality.
Afterward, you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views of Erfoud and Rissani. In the afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga. You will be welcome with a glass of mint tea before checking in at your Riad or hotel.
Today, you will spend most of the day exploring the wonders of the Erg Chebbi region in the Sahara Desert. Start by learning about the traditional irrigation system known as “Khettaras,” which conveys water from distant sources through a sophisticated network of wells and underground channels. This system has provided water for both irrigation and the local inhabitants.
You will also have time to enjoy entertainment in Khamlia Village, home to a tribe of individuals with dark complexions descended from enslaved people brought from the Sub-Saharan region. Experience the soul-stirring spiritual music of Gnawa Music, performed daily for visitors.
Finally, prepare for a complete tour of the vast dune field of Erg Chebbi and visit a nomadic family to gain insights into their lifestyle.
In the late afternoon, you’ll experience a camel ride through the soft, golden sand while enjoying the stunning sunset. Then, have a nice dinner in our tented restaurant or under the stars before spending the night in the camp.
Your day begins with a picturesque sunrise. You wake up to enjoy the majestic sunrise view and have breakfast in the sunlight or inside the restaurant. After a refreshing shower, you meet with your private driver/guide again to resume your journey further west.
Have a break in Erfoud, where you can visit the dates market and the fossils and minerals factory. Then, drive through the palm oasis of Tinjdad, leading us to the impressive Todra Gorge (Canyon). Stretch your legs and enjoy the views before continuing to the Dades Valley, where we will spend our third night.
After breakfast in the hotel, travel through the Dades Valley toward Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route is called “The Thousand Kasbahs” and provides numerous opportunities to take some of the best photographic shots in the Rose Valley and the city, which has been the setting of multiple films. In Ouarzazate, you will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a Unesco world heritage site.
After that, we will shift our route to cross the High Atlas Mountains, which offer panoramic views and Berber villages all along the way to Marrakech. We will spend the night in Medina, including bed and breakfast.
On this day, after breakfast, you will take a day tour to discover Marrakech. You will Immerse yourself in the red city, have Lunch in the Medina, and visit the city’s most beautiful palaces and monuments, such as the 19th-century Bahia Palace, the 16th-century Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, and the Majorelle Garden.
You will also visit the famous Souks, where merchants sell everything from leather to clothes, spices, and kaftans overnight at Riad, including bed and breakfast.
Depending on your departure time, we will transfer you to the airport where this 10-day Morocco Itinerary from Casablanca ends.
A private tour offers a personalized experience. Enjoy flexible schedules, cultural interactions, and travel at your own pace. Make the journey your own.
In conclusion, a 10-day Morocco itinerary is more than a trip—it’s an unforgettable journey. In bustling souks or atop a dune, you’ll gather amazing memories. Morocco’s allure waits to be discovered. So, pack your bags and set off on an adventure. It will captivate your senses and broaden your horizons.
