9 Days Morocco Itinerary:

1st DayArrival in Casablanca airport

Pick up at the Casablanca airport and begin driving to the city, passing through sights of the Moroccan countryside. We stop visiting Hassan II, Africa’s largest mosque, the sole opening for non-Muslims. Then check into your hotel. Stay overnight in a hotel.

2nd DayCasablanca - Rabat – Chefchaoun

Our second day begins with breakfast in the Riad, followed by a drive to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, to explore the stunning Mausoleum of Mohammed V, which features stained glass windows and white marble. We proceed to Hassan Tower, which lies at a height overlooking Wadi Bou Regreg. Visit the Oudaïa Kasbah, erected by Moulay Ismaïl between 1672 and 1727 to safeguard the city and surrounded by ramparts from the Almohad period.

After lunch, the trip continues to Chefchaouen through the Rif mountains. The town is known for its vibrant blue-rinsed houses, which are popular with visitors and Moroccans, especially during the hot summer months. 3rd DayChefchaouen - Volubilis - Fes

After breakfast, you can explore the captivating Medina of Chefchaouen on foot. Depart around noon to Fes through the Rif mountains and Volubilis, Roman Ruins where you’ll have a guided tour exploring The Mauritania capital, founded in the 3rd century B.C., became an essential outpost of the Roman Empire and was graced with many fine buildings. When arriving at Fes, check out your accommodation and dine at one of the local folklore restaurants in Medina. 

4th Day Fes guided tour

After breakfast, you will meet your local guide. Your visit will start with a visit to the Royal Palace gate and continue through the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah built in Morocco in the sixteenth century. We will ensure you visit all cultural and historical sites, including the famous Al Karaouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Molay Idriss mausoleum.

After lunch, you will visit the tile cooperative and enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the Medina of Fes.
Enjoy Fes medina at night at leisure and go for dinner to a local restaurant in the new town.

5th DayFes - Ifrane - Middle Atlas mountains - Ziz valley - Merzouga - camel trek and night in the desert

After a tasty breakfast, we leave Fes. We journey across the Middle Atlas to the Erg Chebbi dunes through Ifrane, Azrou, cedar forests, and the Ziz Valley canyon. The road is intriguing and beautiful, providing excellent photo opportunities. We stopped for lunch in Midelt.

We proceed to the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you will ride a camel for an hour and a half to see the sunset over the dunes. Then, we spend the night in a luxurious desert tent, where dinner is freshly made and served beneath the stars. After supper, gathering around the fire for some drumming is always pleasant.

6th DayMerzouga desert - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley

If you get up early enough, the Sahara desert delivers a spectacular sunrise in the Erg Chebbi dunes, followed by breakfast.

Afterward, you’ll ride the camels back to the Merzouga, admiring the beautiful Erg Chebbi dunes in the early morning light. We’ll head to Todra Gorges, a popular rock climbing location and Morocco’s tallest and narrowest gorges. We can stroll before traveling to Dades Valley overnight in a riad or hotel in the heart of the Valley.

7th DayDades Valley - Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - High Atlas mountains - Marrakech

We begin our day by visiting Dades Gorges, which includes the many rock formations of the mountains in the Dades Valley. We continue our journey to the Valley of the Roses, passing through thousands of Kasbahs. When the roses blossom in April and May, the Valley is breathtaking. We go through Ouarzazate before arriving at Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, the most repaired ksar in the south and a UNESCO World Heritage Site where many movies have been shot at this kasbah. 

We continue our journey to Marrakech, passing the High Atlas mountain range via Tizi N Tichka pass at 2260m, with stunning views of little valleys and Berber towns. We arrive in Marrakech late afternoon and spend the night at a Riad.

8th DayMarrakech Guided tour

Today, you’ll have a full-day tour of Marrakech with our local guide. You’ll start by exploring the hidden souks inside the Medina, including Bahia Palace, Saadien Tombs, Jemaa el-Fnaa, and Koutoubia Mosque. You’ll also learn about the incredible architecture of the Ben Youssef Madrasa.

After lunch at a nearby restaurant, your driver will take you out of the beautiful Majorelle Gardens, a famous botanical garden in Marrakech, Morocco. It is one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions known for its vibrant blue buildings, exotic plants, and serene atmosphere. Then you will have free time to explore on your own.

9th DayTransfer to the airport

Today, your 9-day journey in Morocco concludes with a drop-off at the Marrakech or Casablanca airports.
